BAHRAIN.  Oxford Business Group (OBG) has appointed a new Country Director for the next phase of its operations in Bahrain.

Sarah Crompton-Donnelly will lead the global research and consultancy firm's Bahrain team alongside Chas Kissick, OBG's Editorial Manager in the kingdom. Together, they will oversee the production of The Report: Bahrain 2020, OBG's forthcoming report on the country's economic development and investment opportunities, as well as other key content.

A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Crompton-Donnelly has a background in project coordination and journalism which has taken her around the globe to destinations in the Far East, the Gulf, Europe and the Americas. Crompton-Donnelly moves into her new post from Oman, where she played a key role as project manager, helping to produce OBG's most recent report on the sultanate's economy.

Welcoming her to Bahrain, Jana Treeck, OBG's Managing Director for the Middle East, said she was confident that Crompton-Donnelly would prove to be a valuable addition to the Group's local team.

"These are exciting days for Bahrain, with its efforts to diversify the national economy and attract new investment for its public-private-partnership projects now accelerating, against a backdrop of key reforms," she said. "Sarah has already shown herself to be highly knowledgeable when it comes to emerging markets, while her recent spell in Oman has given her additional insight into the workings of GCC economies. I'm sure that this on-the-ground experience, combined with her evident enthusiasm, will stand her in good stead as she takes up this new opportunity."

The Report: Bahrain 2020 will mark the culmination of more than 12 months of field research by a team of analysts from Oxford Business Group. It will be a vital guide to the many facets of the kingdom, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, banking and other sectoral developments.

OBG's publication will contain contributions from leading representatives across the public and private sectors. It will be available online and in print.
