JORDAN.  Basket.jo, the leading e-delivery retail application in Jordan, has announced the launch of a series of reward programs in collaboration with Pepsi Jordan, giving users an opportunity to benefit from a range of features including free delivery, vouchers, discounts, special offers, and much more, whenever they buy any Pepsi Jordan products through the Basket.jo app or website.

This announcement follows the strategic agreement between Basket.jo and Jordan Ice & Aerated Water Company, an affiliate of PepsiCo, who were the winner of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence for the Private Sector in 2009 and 2010.  The partnership was signed at a ceremony attended by Basket.jo Founder and CEO Omar Akel, and PepsiCo General Manager Nidal Hamam, as well as a number of heads of department from both companies.

At the ceremony, Akel expressed his pride in the partnership, saying that "we are proud to partner with a leading beverage company such as PepsiCo Jordan, and together we hope to move towards new horizons. After our series of partnerships with supermarkets and hypermarkets, we have now expanded our list of partners to include leading institutions in the FMCG sector, which reflects the rapid growth achieved by our operations during a period of one year only. It also reflects both the growing demand for our application, and its potential, which indicates positive performance and growth over the coming few years. "

Akel concluded by pointing out the importance of new partnerships, stating that it will enrich and enhance the shopping experience for users by providing additional options, such as offering Pepsi Jordan’s best products.

Given the recent shift of popularity from traditional retail solutions to e-commerce, we are exploring every available channel to distribute our products, while providing a streamlined experience for tech-savvy consumers,” said Hamam. “Therefore we are proud to join such an innovative start-up as Basket.jo to accomplish this goal, especially considering our firm vision of supporting Jordan’s creative minds and emerging local companies.”

This agreement is the latest in a series of agreements signed by Basket.jo, cementing the company’s position as a true and active partner in the lives of consumers by providing them with the best products available. Basket.jo aims to become a role model in the local start-up sector and to enhance its presence both inside and outside the Kingdom through its multi-faceted expansion plan, which it plans to implement long-term in order to bring consumers closer to their favorite stores than ever before.

Pepsi Jordan’s products include Pepsi, 7up, Miranda, Mountain Dew, Shani, Aquafina, Bario, Lipton Ice Tea, and Frutz.
