UAE. In line with its commitment to advancing women’s growth and development in the workplace, EY has teamed up with Mums@Work to provide 18 Returnship roles. The roles are open to women in Dubai with professional work experience who are looking to resume work after taking a career break of two years or longer.

Through the initiative, EY will assist their transition back into an office setting that is flexible, inclusive, and diverse while refreshing their skills and experience.

The Returnship program by EY will focus on helping women to avoid undervaluing their skills and the practical knowledge they are bringing to a role after a career break.

Joe Murphy, UAE Managing Partner, EY, says:“At EY, we believe that a career break does not hinder an employee’s ability to be a valuable player. The collaboration with Mums@Work will allow us to reach women with a diverse set of skills and various levels of experience who may not have otherwise applied to work with a professional services organization. Together, we can redefine the opportunities for future generations of women and be more inclusive of different career paths. ”

The inaugural EY Returnship program for women with professional working experience will run for 12 weeks and consists of seven components: on the job training, client engagements, career development sessions such as personal brand development, networking events, mentoring and coaching sessions.

During the development and mentoring sessions, EY will provide a certified coach to help participants identify possible limiting beliefs that may be creating barriers and preventing career development.

Furthermore, the participants will meet with successful female role models in the organization through the EY Women’s Network initiatives. By the end of the program, the women will have gained job experience and worked on assignments that will inspire their professional development and help them move closer to long-term career goals.

“Quite often women returning to work will accept more junior positions, or a lower salary, than the position they’d held before their career break. They are also sometimes afraid to negotiate flexible working hours in order to retain a job offer and appear committed. Our coaching sessions will encourage women to discuss these issues, build confidence and find solutions and options that work for both the employee and the employer,” says Joe.

#The EY Returnship opportunities include positions in human resources, financial services, cyber intelligence, strategy, tax, and auditing.

To apply, visit the Mums@Work job board at www.mumsatwork.ae/jobs/rtw/ey. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the Return to Work Career Fair on March 1, 2018 and speak to hiring managers to discuss their experience and qualifications.
