UAE. InfoFort, an Aramex company and a leading information management solution provider in the Middle East and Africa, today announced its partnership with AIIM (Association for Intelligent Information Management) to introduce training programs for information professionals in the Middle East.

AIIM is a global community of information professionals dedicated to providing essential skills and tools needed to transform businesses.

The role of IT professionals, in recent years, has been rapidly shifting from technology per se to stewardship, optimisation, and application of the information assets themselves. These transformations - driven largely by consumerisation, cloud, mobile, and the Internet of Things - now call for new, transferable skills that need to be acquired in today’s fast-paced business environment.

The InfoFort – AIIM partnership aims to address this gap through a quality certification that serves as a badge of competency and knowledge for those entrusted with the task of building an information strategy in a time of digital disruption.

The program is a first-of-its-kind to be introduced in the Middle East region and includes training on Certified Information Professional (CIP), Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM), among others.

“As a thought leader in the field of information management, InfoFort strives to remain up-to-date with the latest developments that can benefit the region’s technological capabilities and talent pool,” said Abed Shaheen, CEO of InfoFort.

“Our partnership with AIIM introduces a highly sought-after certificate to the region, effectively adding to the body of knowledge of the industry. The program has been developed to help the professionals enhance their value to employers and remain competitive in their areas of expertise.”

The courses will cover practical techniques on how to form a bridge between IT and business, keep information management skills current, lead organisations into the world of social and mobile content, enhance the value to employers and clients, and become part of the next wave of information management professionals.
