Zack Friedman named 'Revolutionary CFO of the Year' at the 7th Annual MENA CFO Awards

Mina Group, the integrated energy services and infrastructure company that serves defense, government, and commercial customers around the world, is pleased to announce that its Group Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Zack Friedman, was today named 'Revolutionary CFO of the Year' at the 7th Annual MENA CFO Awards recognizing the top business leaders in the Middle East.
    
At the awards ceremony held in Dubai earlier today, the CFO Strategies Forum hosting the awards praised Mr. Friedman's leadership, management, and strategic vision in front of an audience of over 150 CEOs, CFOs, and other financial leaders from across the Middle East, including from companies such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and KBR.

"I am deeply honored to be recognized as the Revolutionary CFO of the Year," Friedman said. "I am especially grateful to the entire Mina team whose commitment to excellence and tireless dedication has helped make this award possible."

Held each year in Dubai, the awards recognize the important contribution of CFOs in delivering results and achieving success for their organizations. Friedman received the award for 'Revolutionary CFO of the Year' based on his track record and significant contribution to transformation within Mina.

"This is an outstanding achievement and is well deserved for Zack Friedman," said Graham O'Donoghue, Group President and Chief Executive Officer of Mina Group. Friedman was selected by an independent panel of judges comprised of senior Middle East financial and business executives. Nominees were assessed on various criteria, including business impact, innovation, transformation, leadership abilities, management, and strategy.

About Zack Friedman
Zack Friedman is the Group Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Mina Group. Prior to joining Mina Group, Mr. Friedman was a hedge fund investor, and invested across multiple sectors, including financial services, real estate, energy, consumer, and healthcare.  Previously, Mr. Friedman worked at The Blackstone Group.  Prior to Blackstone, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley & Co. Mr. Friedman is a former White House intern for the Chief of Staff to President Bill Clinton.

Mr. Friedman received a B.A. in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University. He received a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and an MBA from Wharton Business School.

Mr. Friedman is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Dean's Council at Harvard Kennedy School.  He is a member of the Pacific Council, Bretton Woods Committee, National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, and California Bar.  USA Today named him one of the Top 20 college students in America as a member of the All-USA College Academic Team.  The Asia Society named him an Asia 21 Young Leader, one of the top leaders under the age of forty who will impact global affairs in coming decades.
