UAE.  Landmark Group, one of the region's leading retail and hospitality conglomerate has further diversified its portfolio, foraying into the healthcare industry with iCARE Clinics, primary healthcare clinics for the family.

The first iCARE Clinic was inaugurated today at the Oasis Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Landmark Group plans to invest AED100 million to establish 20 iCARE Clinics across the UAE over the next 2 – 3 years. The second clinic in the network is set to open doors at the Discovery Gardens in Dubai.

Micky Jagtiani, Chairman, Landmark Group, said: “At Landmark Group, it has been our philosophy to provide exceptional value to our customers. This is true for all our retail and hospitality brands. With this new venture for the Group in the healthcare industry, we aim to continue the Group’s philosophy of offering comprehensive facilities and services for the entire family, thereby creating exceptional value.”

Renuka Jagtiani, Vice – Chairperson, Landmark Group, said: “iCARE has been conceptualised as a one point family destination for all primary healthcare needs. Our aim is to offer quality medical expertise in a friendly and warm atmosphere, vital for effective wellness in today’s lifestyle. Our team of doctors, nurses and technicians at iCARE Clinics specialize in providing medical solutions for challenges that arise out of today’s hectic lifestyles, such as food habits, long working hours and a multi-cultural environment.

“Health and well-being is of paramount importance. We studied the market and realised that the need of the hour is a primary healthcare provider who understands that healthcare is not just about medication, but the science of understanding patients, almost like a family physician. We brought in professionals to provide the medical expertise and plan the business model of the clinics. Over the years, Landmark Group has built its reputation by building successful brands, understanding customer needs in the retail and hospitality space. Keeping this in mind, we decided to enter into this sector.”

The Clinics will focus on providing easy access and 365 days care to patients within communities. iCARE Clinics offer a wide range of medical services, including paediatrics; ob/gynaecology; internal medicine; dental; radiology; pathology; family medicine as well as general practitioner (GP) services.

An ambitious venture from the Landmark Group, iCARE Clinics is poised to offer quality treatments across essential domains of healthcare. The clinic offers easy access to health services through a streamlined administration process that facilitates insurance coverage and other patient-needs.

UAE. "The general trading atmosphere is sufficiently negative for gold to enable sellers to have a firm grip on the market. However, I fail to see how the rally in the stock markets can be put into any sensible relation to the economic plight of the underlying countries."
