UAE. Modhesh World, at Dubai World Trade Centre, will be the host of the grand opening of Dubai Summer Surprises 2012 on Thursday.

 Dubai Events & Promotions Establishment, an agency of DED, and organizers of DSS, has staged a great show with impressive laser works, spectacular acrobat shows, and an eye-catching parade at Hall number 6 of Dubai World Trade Centre.  The 1st DSS Mega Raffle Draw is also set to take place at the opening, with one lucky winner driving home a Nissan Patrol with a cash prize of AED 150,000.
 
To commemorate the launch of the monumental 15th edition of the summer extravaganza, the ceremony will begin with a short documentary which narrates the story behind 15 years of continuous success of DSS. This will be followed by a world class acrobat show and a huge colorful parade across Modhesh World halls.

DSS has transformed the summer season in Dubai by attracting visitors from across the region and boosting the economy of Dubai.  Last year, it welcomed 4 million visitors with registered spending of AED 8.8 Billion as compared to 600,000 visitors with spending of AED 850 Million. 

DSS is also known for its array of activities which cater to the entire family, offering various indoor entertainment options including Modhesh World, Ski Dubai, Burj Khalifa, and world-class shopping malls among others.

Under the festive slogan “Dubai. Summer Fun and More”, this year’s 15th edition of DSS runs from June 14th  to July 14th and promises to bring a season full of family entertainment, shopping promotions, huge raffle prizes, spa promotions and much more. 

The DSS 2012 Opening Ceremony is free for all, however, AED 10 entry ticket to Modhesh World is a must to enjoy an afternoon full of fun and entertainment.
