UAE. Leaders can now uncover what makes them tick with a mere shuffle of cards. International expert in leadership development, Wendy Appel has created a card pack representing nine styles of leadership.

Appel modelled the nine Types on the centuries-old Enneagram symbol that evolved into a personality typing system in the 60s. The Enneagram Cards work in tandem with her recently-published book, InsideOut Enneagram: The Game-Changing Guide for Leaders.

Both the cards and the book were borne from Appel’s belief that if an individual is able to recognize their patterns of thinking, acting and feeling, it is then easy to shift how one shows up as a leader, in life and business.

“The Enneagram Typing Cards help users capture the essence of each Type, recognize themselves as one dominant Type, and then to apply the learning to more effectively navigate each day,” she said.

Appel acknowledged  that the real power is when teams work together to discover what motivates each Type, to understand one another and stop making it personal, and to explore how they each show up in response to the other.

“Whether in the workplace or in daily life, learning to understand your specific needs and the needs of those around you is the key to leadership success,” she concluded.

Appel’s Enneagram Typing Cards and book InsideOut Enneagram: The Game-Changing Guide for Leaders are both available on www.wendyappel.com
