Majid Al Futtaim's first shopping mall in Lebanon to embody the 'City Centre' lifestyle concept

LEBANON. Beirut City Centre, a new shopping mall being developed by Majid Al Futtaim Properties will be a desirable lifestyle destination, with its integrated offer of unique retail and leisure pursuits. Embodying the ‘City Centre’ lifestyle brand which has been successfully introduced across the region, Beirut City Centre will be a place for residents to conveniently shop, socialise and be entertained.

Beirut City Centre will feature 200 stores spread across three levels, presenting a retail mix tailored to the surrounding residential areas making up Great Beirut.

An estimated 25% of brands will be unique to the market, making the overall collection of stores distinct from any other shopping experience in the area.

The retail offer will feature heavily with fashion and lifestyle-oriented brands such as H&M, UK-retailer Jack Wills and destination stores Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Centrepoint featuring Splash, Shoe Mart, Lifestyle and Babyshop. Overall, there will be approximately 80 stores dedicated solely to fashion featuring high street brands, shoes, accessories and children’s wear in addition to a broad offer of shopping options across beauty and cosmetics, jewellery and service-oriented stores providing residents with convenience of choice.   

Catering to the city’s popular dining culture, Beirut City Centre will offer an international choice of over 40 restaurants, cafes and specialty stores, including a 16-outlet food court. A distinctive feature in this category will be the mall’s open-air, rooftop restaurant area which will have 12 international and local restaurants and cafes, making it a unique year-round lifestyle destination suited to Beirut’s Mediterranean climate. The mall’s entertainment and leisure precinct will be anchored by a Magic Planet family attraction and a state-of-the-art multi-screen VOX Cinemas.

Beirut City Centre is located in Beirut’s Hazmieh district and is conveniently situated on the Damascus-Beirut Road, making it accessible from Great Beirut’s major neighbourhoods. The mall is set to open in early 2013.
