UAE. Interiors UAE, the leading interior design event for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and wider Middle East, will explore the increasing influence of high fashion and its fusion with traditional and contemporary interiors, when it takes place from 29 – 31 March 2010 in the cultural hub of the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

Interiors UAE will also introduce a high–profile interior design competition that will be a central element of the event. The competition challenges fashion and interior design students to use ‘High Fashion’ as their inspiration in creating luxury, design-led spaces, with the choice or combination of the themes of ‘Sleep – Eat – Play – Bathe’. The competition has been developed in association with the internationally recognised design school, The Inchbald.

Alan Hughes, Vice Principal and Director of Inchbald commented:
“Students at the Inchbald are taught to seek inspiration and influence from any relevant source and Middle Eastern design, craft and culture has always been a large part of this process.

In highlighting the burgeoning industry of Interior and Garden design in the Middle East, Interiors UAE and Gulf Landscaping 2010 will draw attention to the very latest trends in both regional and international design and celebrate the significant influence of designs from this region.

The Inchbald School is also delighted to support Interiors UAE and Gulf Landscaping 2010 in their additional quest to support the interior designers of the future from this region.”

The ‘High Fashion’ theme will continue within the co-located event - Gulf Landscaping 2010. This event reflects the burgeoning landscaping market in the Middle East where the landscaping industry in the region is currently estimated to be worth US$16.34 billion.

The Middle East continues to demonstrate a demand for new and innovative design concepts, where the traditional blends with the modern, whilst still retaining a strong sense of luxury throughout.

This will be evident across the range of high range of international and local exhibitors taking part in both the Interiors UAE and Gulf Landscaping 2010 events.

The events take place from 29 – 31 March 2010 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi. For more information, please visit www.interiorsuae.com or www.gulflandscaping.com
