UAE. Emirates Computers announced that it has signed a contract with Emirates Technical Associates (ETA) M&E, the mechanical and electrical division of ETA Ascon Group, to install the latest IT infrastructure for BMW’s newest showroom.

Emirates Computers will deploy an end-to-end technology solution including cabling, networking, digital signage, audio visual, access control, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), gate barriers, public address systems and Satellite Master Antenna Television (SMATV). Emirates Computers will also train BMW staff to enhance their capabilities in using the new technologies.

“We are excited to work with ETA M&E on the new state-of-the-art BMW showroom in order to equip them with a total ICT infrastructure – a mix of cutting edge solutions that comply with the client’s specific requirements.

ETA M&E selected Emirates Computers based on our successful track record as the leading systems integrator in the region.  Working with ETA M&E during the early stages of the project allowed us to provide consultancy services to further enhance the design solution.

This is a unique project and our solution will equip the new BMW showroom with world class facilities, enhancing the shopping experience for its customers,” said Haytham Kamel, General Manager, Emirates Computers.

The completion date of the project’s first phase has been set for December 2009 and Emirates Computers is confident the solution will fulfill BMW’s business needs, help streamline their operations and optimize the management of their showrooms. The BMW showroom is currently ranked number one in the Middle East with regards to the technology facilities being provided to BMW’s customers.

A wide range of brands are being deployed for this project including Cisco (networking), R&M (cabling), GNSS (integrated circuit solutions), Tandberg (video conferencing and telepresence), G4S (security solutions), and Kathrein (antenna and filter products).

Prior to the implementation of this project, Emirates Computers’ deployment and IT team surveyed the IT systems and solutions implemented at the BMW showroom in Germany to ensure that the regional implementation was in line with international standards.

“A project like BMW’s flagship showroom in Abu Dhabi demands excellence in quality of complex low current systems – one of the reasons for our choice of Emirates Computers to deliver this unique project.  Emirates Computers have a proven track record in delivering complex and innovative solutions across all industry sectors.

With their involvement in this project stretching back to the concept stage and their reputation as a leading systems integrator, we are confident of ensuring successful delivery of cutting edge technologies to enhance the showroom,” said Manoj Kumar Dhoot, Director, ETA M&E, Abu Dhabi.
