UAE. In a chaotic world where the only thing that's certain seems to be uncertainty, businesses the world over are crying out for tangible solutions.
At a time when 80,000 jobs can be axed in a single day, where governments and entire countries can crumble; where the ‘credit crunch’ is reportedly costing GM an astonishing US$52,000 every minute, it’s crucial to act now to stop the economic turmoil in its tracks.
According to experts, the answer is staring us in the face. “We always knew that business processes determined the performance of a corporation, but what’s now becoming crystal clear in light of recent events, is that a corporations’ performance actually determines the total performance of the worldwide economy," said Ali Hassan Al Marzouqi, Director, Strategic Planning and Performance Management, Ministry of Economy, UAE
Top business leaders from the region and the rest of the world will gather in Dubai at the 5th Annual Business Process Excellence Summit in May to thrash out an international blueprint that facilitates employment retention.
The belief widely held is that by optimising existing strategies, there’s enormous potential to retain employees, maximise return on investment and achieve benchmarkable standards across the region and beyond.
According to event Chairman and global thought Leader Terry Schurter, this is the perfect time not only to survive the current crisis, but to put measures in place to ensure robust success in the future.
“It’s crucial to act now by formulating a strategic plan that correctly positions your organisation to reap the benefits of the economic boom which will follow; increasing customer loyalty while building the competitive means for business growth and market expansion is essential.”
A critical age demands critical measures to ensure sustainable world class performance. That’s the belief held by leading strategists in the field who are urging corporations to scrutinise their bottom line, in order to prevent inefficient operating processes from carving away profit margins.
Raza Chevel is Director of the event. “This is the perfect platform for debate and to provide a timely global model for business process excellence. President Obama recently made it a key priority to improve efficiency and transparency and to stamp out government waste.
If businesses can drive operational distinction at a regional level, Dubai will be perfectly placed not only to meet changing business needs, but also to surpass them," he said.
The Business Process Excellence Summit aims to chart ways of augmenting business strategies in a bid to rule out poor service, delivery inconsistencies and the potential for budget mayhem with insights from professionals who’ve already lived the experience. Deploying organisation-wide tactics and boosting cost efficiency will also be a key focus.
“If you care about creating process excellence in your organisation; if you care about quality and performance; if you care about bringing nobility to your self and your organisation by improving the lives of your customers, your company and the people you work with, then you need to attend this event,” commented Terry Schurter.
“My keynote at the Summit will be the most important and profound I have ever delivered. I hope you join me there and in leading the way to improving our world, one person, process and organisation at a time,” he added.
More than 25 leading corporations will deliver presentations on the subject of Business Process Excellence when the event takes place in Dubai from 31 May to 4 June 2009.
