'The Libya of tomorrow' to be presented at London investment meeting

LIBYA. A government level delegation will be in London this month for a major conference on economic and trade opportunities in Libya.The half-day meeting, themed 'The Libya of the Future', will be chaired by Sir Stephen Wright, CEO International Financial Services, and will be held at Mansion House on 17 June 2008.

Guests will receive a welcome address by David Lewis, Lord Mayor of the City of London. Speakers include HE Mohamed Taher Siala, Assistant Secretary for Foreign Liaison & International Cooperation, Foreign Liaison Bureau; HE Dr Mahmoud Jibril, Secretary of the National Planning Council and Economic Development Board; HE Mustafa Zarti, Deputy Executive Director and Member of the Board of the Libyan Investment Authority; and HE Abdarrahman Al Gammoudi, Secretary, Libyan Foreign Investment Board.

Sessions have been set aside for networking and discussion on why foreign businesses should invest in Libya.
