UAE. Jones Lang LaSalle, the world's leading real estate investment and advisory firm, has announced the appointment of David Macadam as Head of Retail Division, a newly created business unit in the MENA region. 

David has over 28 years experience in the commercial, residential, mixed-use and retail real estate industry. He has completed projects valued at more than US$5 billion throughout the Middle East and Canada.

As a GCC based senior executive for nearly six years, he has been responsible for leasing, mall design, merchandise mix and viability analysis of iconic retail projects including Dubai Festival City and Dubai Mall. David is a member of the Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) and the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC).

Commenting on his appointment, Blair Hagkull, Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle MENA said: “We are delighted to welcome David to the firm to lead our retail business in the MENA region. 

This newly established division will provide development advisory, leasing and management services to all retail clients throughout the region. We believe in the huge potential of retail and consider it as one of our major regional business initiatives for 2010.”

In the last few years, Jones Lang LaSalle MENA has confirmed a number of senior appointments for its expanding Investment Transactions, Agency, Strategic Consulting, Hotels and Valuation businesses. Presently, the firm has four offices in the MENA region, with new offices being planned.
