SAUDI ARABIA. Zai Technologies, the Saudi-based manufacturer of the Zai brand of computers is exhibiting a broad range of desktop PCs based on NVIDIA’s new series of powerful graphics processing units (GPUs) at GITEX Saudi 2008.

The Zai PC line-up will include machines incorporating the GeForce 9800 GTX SLI with a custom-branded NVIDIA Cooler Master Stacker 830 Gaming case, an ‘SLI Ready’ machine with the  GeForce 9800 GX2 and the GeForce 8800 GT.  These high-definition entertainment platforms will drive visual computing capabilities to new heights. Zai will also display a ‘Business PC’ built with an NVIDIA’s GeForce 7100 motherboard, enabling business users to optimize their PCs at a particular price point for drastically improved performance.

Ashraf Shendy, Business Development Manager, ICC Group, the  holding company of Zai Technologies, said: “From the inception, Zai Technologies have been committed to introducing products that provide our customers excellent performance and scalability, and at the same time are cost efficient. Our partnership with NVIDIA, world leader in visual computing technology, is in line with this mission. GITEX Saudi 2008 provides us the perfect platform to launch our range of PCs based on NVIDIA’s revolutionary GeForce GPU technology."

Daniel Saison, Director of Sales, Middle East, India and Africa said: “Saudi Arabia is an extremely important market for us because of the huge growth potential. The market is maturing nicely with more and more consumers understanding the importance of the GPU in their computers. Optimising the computer with the right mix of GPU and CPU will offer the best performance to our customers. The fact that the PC is SLI Ready also ensures an easy upgrade path as the consumer can simply add another GeForce GPU as and when he feels the need for more performance”

NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800 GX2 GPU has proved to be the world’s fastest graphics solution, designed for running today’s graphically-intensive games, 3D applications, and HD movies at extreme resolutions. With more than 256 processing cores on a single board, the GeForce 9800 GX2 GPU is up to 60% faster than the closest competitor.

GeForce 9800 GTX GPU which features 128 processor cores, provides gaming enthusiasts with the best bang for the buck in its price range and supports both 2-Way and 3-Way SLI technology, delivering the industry’s most flexible and scalable multi-GPU solution. The 8800 GT is a graphics card that is the ideal combination of power, performance and price featuring 112 stream processors, and a 256-bit frame buffer for DirectX 10 gameplay at ultra fast frame rates.
