PARIS. Houston headquartered Excelerate Energy has awarded Bureau Veritas (BV) a contract to deploy and support the Veristar AIM3D ‘software as a solution’ system to provide asset integrity services on their Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) unit Excellence.

Veristar AIM 3D represents a new generation of Asset Integrity Management Systems, developed in partnership with Dassault Systèmes. Officially released in April, it incorporates the unique and powerful combination of a 3-D digital twin of the asset with smart data processing through a collaborative platform, and will help Bureau Veritas clients better understand their risks and OPEX exposure to increase safety while improving the overall performance of their fleet and drive down OPEX.

Matthieu de-Tugny, COO, Bureau Veritas, Marine & Offshore, commenting, said: Veristar AIM 3D provides a unique platform for clients to understand hull condition, anticipate risks and plan maintenance to reduce OPEX. We are delighted that Excelerate have made this commitment to the only solution that offers a 3D digital twin combined with smart data analytics in a collaborative platform.’

Veristar AIM 3D will be delivered to Excelerate in the cloud mode, including the benefits of the solution’s sophisticated features but without the need for IT integration.

Excellence will be deployed on the Moheshkhali Floating LNG import terminal in Bangladesh; the first of its kind in the country. The floating terminal is scheduled to be operational in 2018, providing natural gas to Bangladesh.
