UAE. The Ministry of Health's H1N1 flu portal was today e-linked with the website of the Ministry of Education, a senior health official said, reported the official news agency WAM.

The move is meant to keep schools and educational institutions updated on the latest annoucements and measures taken by the Minisrty of Health concerning the H1N1 virus.

Dr Ali bin Shukar, Director of the Ministry of Health, said this latest move is complementing efforts taken by the ministry to provide updated information about the flu virus in a way that concerned parties of the Ministry of Education and educational institutions can access the database and be aware of the measures taken by the Ministry of Health.

'The portal will also track updates issued by the World Health Organisation,' he added.
