UAE. World Famous Golfer, Ernie Els, has been living the Dubai Dream during a week of work and relaxation in a luxury villa with perfect views of the award winning golf course he designed as part of the Victory Heights development in Dubai Sports City.

The winner of three major championships and a record seven World Matchplay titles, Els was in town for the inaugural Dubai World Championship on 19-22 November which provided a thrilling climax to The Race to Dubai – The European Tour’s season-long competition that takes in 50 golf tournaments in 27 destinations around the world.   

Arriving at the six-bed palatial villa with stunning views of the Els Club golf course on Wednesday last week, Els said: “This really is the perfect place to live if you like to live an active lifestyle and are a sporting enthusiast – everything you could possibly want is on your doorstep.”

“The golf course looks fabulous from the villa, and I can literally walk right out on to it. The Els Club is just a walk away and the Butch Harmon School of Golf is just next to door, while the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is just a three minute drive,” he added.     

Victory Heights has handed over more than 295 keys to its home owners in the last five months.

The villas are built in three different styles; authentic Spanish Andalusian, bold Mediterranean, and classic European styles.

The development is located around the award winning Els Club which combines a links style golf course with traditional 'classical era' design that features gently rolling fairways with steep greenside bunkers and grass swales.

The Els Club opened for business in January 2008 and already has a solid membership base. Those living in Victory Heights receive value added benefits throughout Dubai Sports City, including The Els Club and Butch Harmon School of Golf.
