KUWAIT. A company for medical services has been established in Kuwait with a capital estimated at KWD 1 million (US$3.4 million), Kuwait Al-Yom ('Today') newspaper said.

Vertos is a closed company with a capital divided into 10 million shares, each worth 100 fils, it stated.

It aims at establishing and managing hospitals, signing in physicians, nurses, and technicians, providing medical home care, and supplying public and private medical institutions with primary care and specialised medical services, it said.

The company is licensed to obtain supplies and real estate that enable Vertos to operate within the limits set by the law, as well as investing its surplus in portfolios run by specialised corporations.
